Global Energy Management (GEM) is one of ENGIE's Business Units. A community of Innovation Catalysts to solve strategic business challenges and deliver impactful digital services among Energy Global Management solutions teams.
Context
During a twenty months period, you will join on a permanent contract an international and fast moving business unit in a major energy group to work on different challenges linked to data and digital transformation : that is the DNA of the Innovation Squad Program.
An 20-month rotational program built on three pillars :
1. A structured immersion program : Throughout the program, you will unleash your entrepreneur talent through two ten-month rotations during which we will rely on you to solve various challenge with innovative solutions in order to foster value creation and energy transition.
2. Coaching and support : You will be supported by a mentor and you will also be equipped at all stages of the program with the best methods, co-development approach, experiences through events and entrepreneurs networks to help you succeed throughout the 20-month program.
3. An inspiring community : Each challenge of the program is led by a squad, composed by an intern expert, an operational mentor and you. The three of you will gather your different expertise and skills to deliver and solve the challenge. Also, you will learn from different experts and facilitate the sharing of best practices within the organization.
Buying and selling green electricity as well as demand response generate massive data challenge for ETS (Energy Transition Services). The goal is to perform data analysis in order to produce some KPI (Quality of real time produced energy, quality of maintenances information provided by the clients) and be able to provide valuable feedback towards our clients. build a solution for our external clients to have full access to data of their renewable energy.
Role
ETS build a massive database around renewable assets. Those data are mainly used internally to improve forecast, manage risk, developpe pricing methodology, monitor parks performance, calculating p&l,…
The new challenge ETS is facing today is to share partially this database with external counterparties and eventually let them feed in this one.
Main Activities
As a Data Analyst you will have to:
- Understand the ETS IT system and database and how to handle data
- Be able to use a the B2E2 client that allow third party to access data
- Understand and define to IT which walls to build around a user/role to let him access only his park portfolio
- Create testing scenarios to make sure that the system works as expected and is secured
- Imagine what could be the added value to share ETS database with customers/park owners for them and/or for ETS
- Reporting to ETS Product Owner
- The role is designed to be done with great latitude, fresh ideas are welcome
Example of KPIs/data that could be shared with customers:
- Able to get real time, realized and forecasted production & see the real-time measurement quality and availability
- Share and retrieve maintenance register in B2E2 and verify it his system is in line with ETS one
- Rreporting on effective Probid/Congestion bids realized on their parks after TSO activation
- Follow curtailment order requested to their parks
- Have their financial balance sheet of their sold electricity

Qualifications
Education and professional background
- The ideal candidate has a master's degree in engineering, business engineering, mathematics, physics
